Who is ELLA?
ELLA Group encourages women & children to recognize, embrace and utilize self-protective behaviors that foster individual well-being and self-efficacy.
ELLA Group encourages women & children to recognize, embrace and utilize self-protective behaviors that foster individual well-being and self-efficacy. We accomplish this goal by offering classes in the Rape Aggression Defense Systems©, and radKIDS©, both nationally recognized safety and empowerment programs for women and children. Courses include physical technique training combined with awareness education delivered in English and/or Spanish. All courses are taught by certified instructors at low cost to participants and include a lifetime return for practice policy.
On May 13, 2006, ELLA Groups was awarded the Unidas Grant in the amount of $10,000. Thanks to generous grants from the Lovell Foundation and Every Voice in Action Foundation TM, the Women’s Foundation was able to re-institute the Unidas program in January 2006. The goal of the Unidas Program was to focus on such topics as philanthropy, prevention, intervention, non-profit organizations and social change.
ELLA Group is looking forward to help create a safer environment in the Tucson Community. We believe that through education we can help in the fight against violence and abduction.
